Lochnagar (also known as Goat Lake) is an alpine lake situated in the Mt Aspiring National Park south/west of Lake Wanaka. It is a beautiful blue colour with a wide open, expansive feel despite being surrounded by mountains. A quaint old corrugated iron and stone hut which is still used by trampers adds a rustic feel. Lochnagar is a stunning location for weddings and can often be sheltered from wind.
