Elope to Queenstown!
In our view Queenstown is the best place to elope in New Zealand. It is spectacularly beautiful, sitting on the shores of the glacial Lake Wakatipu, surrounded by majestic peaks and The Remarkables mountain range looming above. With just a short helicopter flight, you can find yourselves in remote mountain locations with dramatic cliff-edge views, next to pristine alpine lakes, glaciers and waterfalls. As the adventure capital of the world it’s a great place to come for a holiday with loads of activities, wineries, historical gold-mining areas, great restaurants and shops.
If you’re thinking about where to elope, we’ve put together a short guide with things to do and places to go in Queenstown to help make your decision even easier. Check out our Queenstown mountain wedding packages for the best elopement options and let’s plan a wedding!

Art and markets – Queenstown boasts some incredible galleries. Worth a look are Art Bay Gallery, Ivan Clarke Gallery (home of The Lonely Dog) and Queenstown Art Centre. Every Saturday you can visit the Creative Queenstown Arts and Craft Market at Steamer Wharf.
Queenstown boasts many world-class restaurants and cafes. Here’s a few of our favourites we recommend for a special wedding-night dinner.
Botswana Butchery – Private dining rooms available
We’re sometimes asked if we do wedding packages that include accommodation. As a resort town Queenstown has a huge choice of accommodation to choose from suiting all styles and budgets. Holiday homes are a great choice for travellers staying three or more nights and offer the best value for our clients. Many places are in fantastic locations with amazing views and surprisingly affordable. Renting a whole house gives you space with stylists and photographers while getting ready for your wedding. Check out Airbnb or Bookabach. We’re also happy to pass on details to our clients of places we’ve worked at before and are happy to recommend. Or we can point you in the right direction to find the perfect place to stay that suits your requirements.
