The Remarkables mountain range creates an impressive backdrop to Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu. A popular skifield, The Remarkables also boasts two landing locations ideal for elopement weddings.
The Remarkables Spur is on the left facing end of the mountain range at just under 5000 ft. The ridge-line creates a dramatic panorama backdrop for photos. The terrain is grassy with some rocky outcrops.
Double Cone is at the highest point of the Remarkables mountain range at approximately 7600 ft. It is a landing location likely to have snow during winter with expansive views of surrounding mountains and across Lake Wakatipu.
